"Send It On" is a pop song performed by American recording artists Demi Lovato, the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. The group, billed as "Disney's Friends For Change" stems from Disney's environmental initiative of the same name. On August 11, 2009 in the United States, the song was released as a charity single in order to benefit international environmental associations. It was written by Adam Anders, Nikki Hassman and Peer Astrom who have previously written for Cyrus in "Hoedown Throwdown." Among many of the inspirations from the six artists were that the song sends a great message and that it is important to be environmentally-friendly. The ballad has predominant power pop characteristics and is lyrically about passing on a "green-message."

The song received modest critical success, which compared its content to "We Are the World," but lyrics were said to be tedious and hypocritical. Though it only received airplay Radio Disney, it achieved commercial success by debuting at number twenty on the Billboard Hot 100 the same week as other songs by Cyrus, Lovato and Gomez. The corresponding music video has all four acts singing into microphones on top of a brightly lit stage and running across a "park-like" setting where many children are following them.
